Stories - life's greatest delusion?
For what is a story? A journey with one view? No, different views can be taken. A journey told from one perspective perhaps. Yet each one of us is a walking multitude of stories. Cross sections of us and our experiences can be extracted in different forms and sewn together in millions of different ways and viewed from billions of perspectives by whosoever chooses. For those who have the energy, you can attempt to control what others see by the spin you put on your life and permit others to. But in the end you cannot control others (or yourself really for that matter) for they have their own tales to spin. There is no inherent linear truth even though we all look for it. In the end no-ones’ life and no one situation is ever just a story. We can however still enjoy their wonder.

Beth Tweddle, so far so good is on her way to a medal. She produced one of the best routines of her life to top qualifying for the uneven bars after four of five sessions at the Olympic gymnastics.
The 27-year-old scored a mammoth 16.133 in her last Games for Great Britain.
"It is the best feeling in the world," said Tweddle, a world champion three times but yet to win an Olympic medal.
